The object of the study is the construction of a foundation for the installation of an isothermal tank with a capacity of 20,000 m3 intended for the storage of liquefied hydrocarbons in the Leningrad Region. Structurally, the foundation is a pile grillage made on precasted piles and combined with a monolithic reinforced concrete slab. Verification calculation of the structure for deformations was performed taking into account the design features of large-sized pile fields. Verification calculation of the foundation for the isothermal reservoir of the isothermal storage facility complex was carried out in the specialized PLAXIS 2D, PLAXIS 3D, MIDAS software complexes. The spatial model of the pile field was constructed taking into account the planned elevation position of the bottom of the piles on the basis of the logging log. In modeling the spatial model of the pile foundation, elastic-plastic models of soil deformation were used, taking into account the heterogeneity of the geological structure of the pile field and the planned altitude position of the mark of the bottom of the piles of the building under construction. The number of piles in the foundation construction - 497, which were modeled by special pile elements.
At the same time, several options of the foundation type were considered in the framework of this paper:
- raft-pile foundation with single reinforced slab;
- raft-pile foundation with reinforced slab and diafragm elements.
The series of numerical calculations carried out in the spatial setting by the definition of the rational arrangement of the stiffeners in the slab grill confirms the favorable reaction of the structure to the finning. The most advantageous option was the first variant of placing the ribs with a central ring and eight rays radially diverging from it. Absolute precipitation based on the calculation results is 177.7 mm, and the difference in sediment between the center and the edge is 55.8 mm. The above results take into account the initial deformation during pile driving and the device of a plate grill.
